Between the Killings

Between The Killings is the brutal brainchild of long-time metal musician Braxton Keyser, a twisted, feral escapade into the furthest reaches of violent death metal that’s been sending ripples down the spines of fans around the world since their emergence in 2017. In practice, Between The Killings is as much a band as it is a movement. With a lineup that’s changed over time, founding member and vocalist Keyser currently sits at the helm of a collective of metal legends featuring current and past members of Lividity, Deaden, Severed Headshop, Abolishment Of Flesh, and Mortal Decay. Passing their unique ideas through a web of influences including Cannibal Corpse, Suffocation, Origin, and Dying Fetus, Between The Killings are forging a new path for the genre. Their debut EP, The Killing Quartet Vol. 1 - The Reflection Of Murder (Comatose Music), was released in 2022, a simultaneous example of technical prowess and production savvy as well as an embodiment of the face-melting, feral auditory assault that many brutal death metal fans can’t get enough of. Already gaining cult status among a growing fanbase, there’s much more to look forward to, as it’s only the first in a 4-part EP series that will take fans into the story of a serial killer, each accompanied by an official graphic novel. With The Killing Quartet Vol. 2 already being recorded, Between The Killings are kicking things up a notch with plans to play bigger festivals, tours, and shows all in the works.
