Handsome Prick

Handsome Prick is a Deathgrind/Stoner/Punk band from Dyer, IN. Formed in 2014 when Brad Vanderzee (Drums & Studio Vocals) wanted to start a new project with the best players he knew from The Region. He enlisted Zach Chentnik (Guitars), Jimbo Kelly (Former Bassist), and Justin "Juice" Wallace (Live Vocals). By 2016 they completed 'Enlarged to Show Texture'. The goal was to blur the lines between different genres and create music without limitations while still being Deathgrind. Shortly after the recording, Jimbo decided to leave and they carried on as a three piece. Work began on 'Anonimityville' (2017). The subject matter got darker, the songwriting became more focused and aggressive. This album was a two-man operation: Zach on Guitar and Brad doing Drums, Vocals, & Bass. Afterwards, Brad continued to write songs for a new full-length. After years of performing as a three piece, they brought on Matt "A-Bear" Hebert on Bass. A few months later they recorded 'Plastic Baby Living Facility' (2021). This new set of songs found the band leaning a bit more into the Black Sabbath influence and refining their songwriting while still retaining the speed and heaviness. Now re-energized with a complete lineup and a new album that should be sure to turn a few heads, the band is looking forward to getting out to support the new record post-pandemic and start work on the next covers EP and another full-length release in the future.
