Protrusion are a 4-piece American Death metal band from Lafayette, IN, USA featuring past members of various brutal death metal acts such as Gorgasm, Human Filleted, Sarcophagy and Found Hanging. The band formed in 2022 from a collection of grave digging maniacs who met in the small incestuous Lafayette metal scene and who all just couldn't get enough from 90's Gorguts, Barnes era Cannibal Corpse, and other Morrisound produced classics. Their gruesome brand of graveyard-esque midtempo dirges fuse razor tight guitar riffing, hammering double bass drum beats and reverberated guttural vocals with death-grippingly methodical songwriting and relentless headbang inducing rhythms that will make you want to crawl slowly into your own grave and be gradually rotted away by the obscurity of time. Now hailed as one of the most authentic and 90's sound accurate old school death metal revivalist bands by fans, Protrusion has immediately blown unsuspecting listeners away with their rancid brand of sickening old-school grooves and now have fans begging for more.
